Quercus Ilex, commonly called holm oak, is an evergreen, long-lived, medium-sized tree (up to 30 m), with an arboreal but sometimes also shrubby habit, typical and characterizing the Mediterranean maquis, widespread in particular on the islands and along the coasts Ligurian, Ionian and Tyrrhenian.
